Saul and Princess Kiyomi spend time in the salt water pool in her
warren apartment (Differences Can Be The Spice Of Life)
Evening:
Hsina and Eliase talk about a dream Eliase had, and Eliase tells her
about
her feelings about being a warrior (Promises)
>From a hidden vantage point, Fig watches Tara's movements and speaks
with
Wisp (Figment of the Imagination)
Tara speaks to Corwin on the beach, as he prepares to take the Maritime
Wing
out on an overnight maneuver. (Leap Ahead - And Never Retreat!)
Belarade comes to the beach to see Ansel off, and they talk while
waiting
for the order to saddle up (Leap Ahead - And Never Retreat!)
Corwin leads the Maritime Wing out to sea for maneuvers (Out To Sea)
Tara meets Kay for dinner, then goes back to her office where she
realizes
that someone is waiting in the shadows. (Leap Ahead - And Never
Retreat!)
Fig talks to Tara in her office, identifying herself as Wisp's daughter
and
Tara's niece; Tara agrees to let her enter the warren with her dragon
the next
day (Figment of the Imagination; Like Father, Like Daughter)
A squad of Kataani loyal to Counselor Oga come ashore and enter the
warren
with orders to kill Princess Kiyomi (Leap Ahead - And Never Retreat)
Counselor Oga and his co-conspirators meet offshore to discuss their
plans.(Leap Ahead - And Never Retreat!)
Night:
Arriving at the chosen location, the maritime wing is divided into two
teams while Corwin monitors from an island. The maneuvers are fraught
with confusion as the dragons keep re****ting strange and unexplained
underwater movements. (Out to Sea)
Overnight:
Ansel's and Tanami's teams keep encountering mysterious contacts during
Corwin's wargames. (Skirmishes in the Dark)
Dakhrau and Ansel are forced to fight a Kataani patrol, and then swim
forward to link up with the rest of the Maritime Wing (You Win Some,
You Lose Some)
Day 1
Morning:
At sea, where it is still dark because of the time difference, Dylan
and
Kaliana come upon a rearguard of Kataani soldiers, who immediately form
up into a protective triangle, with deadly spears at the ready.
Syngnath
speaks with Keeza and Riyanne (Out to Sea)
Hsina and Eliase tell Tara that their dragons have heard a re****t from
Syngnath that the maritime wing has apparently encountered Kataani
soldiers
offshore. (Leap Forward - And Never Retreat!)
After hearing that Dylan and Kaliana have encountered Kataani soldiers,
Ansel
and Dakhrau go to help but run into another Kataani patrol. (Skirmishes
in
the Dark)
Tanami goes to talk to Corwin and explains that the presence of
soldiers here
could signal an attack on the Warren.(Skirmishes in the Dark)
Keer and Clowie go to the assistance of Dylan and Kaliana; Keer summons
sharks to attack the Kataani's defensive formation (Swimming With the
Sharks)
The sharks penetrate through the Kataani defenses, but one of the
Kataani
hurls a spear; Kaliana and Ryba sacrifice themselves to save Dylan and
Dru (Just
A Training Exercise)
Jerram returns from a scouting trip to re****t that thousands of Kataani
are
coming ashore north of the warren to cut them off from Cabral, just as
a
massive force appears off the warren itself. Tara orders Gus to hold
the
vital road junction, and Hsina to defend the warren itself. (Leap
Forward - And
Never Retreat!)
Gus and Jerram take half of Alpha Wing and fight a morning-long battle
against General Sentari's brigade north of Jasra (In Time of War)
Tara and Hsina talk before going down to make an attempt at dialogue
(Battle
Lines)
The commander of the Kataani army delivers an ultimatum to Tara and the
others. (Leap Forward - And Never Retreat!)
Under Corwin's direction, the Maritime Wing goes ashore on the small
island, bringing the bodies of Kali and Ryba with them (Plan of Attack)
Dakhrau and Ansel tell of their fight against a Kataani patrol (Plan of
Attack)
Tara discovers from Lecia that Princess Kiyomi is missing; Tara orders
a search, but Hsina believes that Oga's presence signifies that both
the Emperor and Kiyomi are either dead or prisoners (Lessons in
Imperial Intrigue)
General ****amo learns that his battle plan has gone awry when he learns
that a regiment in the center of his line has attacked without orders,
and that regiments on either side are moving up to sup****t their
comrades; he goes forward to try and restore order before a battle
ensues (Lessons in Imperial Intrigue)
Seeing the advancing Kataani, Tara orders Hsina to do whatever is
necessary to keep the attackers from getting into the warren (Lessons
in Imperial Intrigue)
Hsina advises Tara to conceal herself in the kitchens, then draws her
swords and charges down to lead the defenders as the Kataani move
forward (First Blood)
Tara goes to the upper ramparts of the warren to observe the ongoing
battles, where Rellik joins her. They talk about how the Scepter might
be destroyed. (Changing Strategies)
Eliase and Riyanne fly to Corwin's island to inform the Maritime Wing
that the warren is under attack, and that something has apparently
happened to the Emperor. Corwin detaches Tanami, Keer, and Clowie to
search for the Emperor, and orders the remainder of the wing back to
Jasra (Plan of Attack)
Keer advises Corwin that a place called the Moaning Caves may be where
the Emperor is being held (The Moaning Caves)
Keer says goodbye to Dylan, and gives her some Kataani daggers (Catch
Me If You Can)
The seadragons of Corwin's group sense Kataani soldiers under them as
they swim toward Jasra; Corwin detaches Raven, Dakhrau, and Dylan to
deal with this force while proceeding on toward Jasra with the rest of
the wing (You Win Some, You Lose Some)
Raven is wounded as his group engages the Kataani patrol (You Win Some,
You Lose Some)
Dylan and Dru lead the other seadragons in using their
dolphin-avoidance skills to confuse and anger the Kataani troops, and
then lead them into an ambush by the sharks that Keer had left behind
(Catch Me If You Can)
Mely and Jonas fight to defend the barracade against the Kataani
onslaught north of the warren (The last Stand)
Midday:
Tanami, Keer, and Clowie enter the Moaning Caves, but are attacked by a
giant kraken once inside (Changing Strategies)
Raven's seadragon group swims away from the shark trap, but have to
stop to deal with Raven's wound. They go ashore on a small island and
await orders from Corwin (Tending the Wounded)
Gus and Jerram speak to Colonel Natimbi, whose regiment has been
spearheading the attack of General Sentari's brigade north of the
warren; they convince him that both Sentari's and Oga's motives are
suspect, and for the moment the Kataani attack comes to a stop (In Time
Of War)
Gus meets up with Mely after the Kataani pull back (The Last Stand)
Gus sends Jerram back to the Warren with the Kataani prisoner Radass,
then she and Mely survey the casualties and try to restore order
(Adding Up the Aftermath)
Early Afternoon:
Hsina fights a holding action in front of the warren, and inflicts many
Kataani casualties; Counselor Oga manages to slip by and get into the
warren, but Hsina convinces one of the regimental commanders, Colonel
Kato, that Oga is in fact a traitor and Kato agrees to help her find
him (Primitive Passions)
Dylan, Raven, and Dakhrau camp on an island while Raven's injury is
tended to. The riders begin to distrust each other and argue over
staying or going. Thunderclouds quickly roll in, and as Raven searches
for the two trainees, he stumbles upon an unsettling sight. (When It
Rains, it Pours)
Jerram and Seydor return from the warren with several healers to tend
the wounded from the morning's battle. Gus refuses to have her injury
looked at, and instead concentrates with Jerram and Mely on getting
things ready should the Kataani attack again (Adding Up The Aftermath)
General Sentari, isolated with his Puali guard behind the Alpha Wing
lines following Colonel Natimbi's retreat, begins to quietly move
inland toward Haven, planning to link up with an as-yet unknown
accomplice (Adding Up The Aftermath)
Corwin returns to the warren with Ansel and Eliase, to find Hsina
mopping up after the unplanned Kataani attack. She tells him that Oga
is in the warren, but he forbids her to search for him herself. They
look for Tara, but find that she is not at the dining hall as Hsina
thought (I've Been Searching So Long)
Army Commander General ****amo questions his officers about the
unauthorized attack; he and Chief of Staff General Ssuma realize that
they may have traitors in their ranks (Changing Strategies)
Tara comes down from the heights, but is attacked by three of the
Kataani soldiers that entered the warren with Counselor Oga (Changing
Strategies)
