Subject: [DL-N] Where's da Beef!
Day 8 Dawn
"Sweetie, wake up! The eggs are hatching" Jeryn exclaimed his voice
filled with excitement as he ****ged his niece from her slumber. The
head cook loved hatchings, it was a real treat to watch the little
one's come into the world. Like human children they were filled with
awe and wonder at their new surroundings and it was such a special time
for all that could share the occasion. Of course the fact that a party
ensued was a bonus. Even though it was a lot of work for him it was fun
none the less because he really got to 'strut his stuff' so to speak.
"Go away!" Delilah grumbled burying her head under the pillow. Feeling
the blanket being tugged away she grabbed it jerking back and a sleepy
tug of war ensued. "Stoppp!" She yawned barely able to open her eyes.
When she did she found a grinning face almost nose to nose with her.
Her screech of alarm startled the cook and he jumped back stumbling on
the throw rug and found himself landing on his backside eliciting a
painful grunt..
"Girl, what is wrong with you?"
Delilah sat up her eyes wild for a moment as her room slowly came into
focus. "Uncle," she yawned, stretching like a sleek feline, "what are
you doing on the floor?"
The round man snorted as he rose to his feet rubbing his sore back
side. One drawback to living in caves was that the floors were
extremely hard. "Delilah, hurry get up the eggs are hatching!"
"So!" she mumbled and buried herself under the goose down comforter,
snuggling into the cozy warmth.
"Young woman, get out of that bed or I will drag you out!" The sharp
command barely penetrated the dreamy haze, her uncle was as tough as a
child's teddy bear and she knew if she ignored him long enough he would
go away. Some things hadn't changed in her absence and she was grateful
her Uncle was one.
A rush of cold air hit her as the heavy blanket was jerked from her and
Delilah instantly bolted upright ****vering from the sudden coolness in
the room. It might be spring but it still got chilly. Frowning "Uncle
Jeryn have you lost your.."
"Delilah, get dressed you are going to the hatching and that's final!
You spend way too much time alone, you are either hiding here, in the
stables or in the kitchen and you have to get out more."
The almond shaped green eyes blinked at the forcefulness in the man's
tone but before she could think of a caustic retort for being so rudely
awakened the cook continued, "A hatching is a very special occasion and
everyone in the warren goes and that includes you! Now do I need to
help you dress..." he asked reaching for her arm.
The dark-haired woman immediately rolled away to the far side of the
bed. Rising to her feet Delilah did her best to hide the fading scars
of her incarceration with her thin chemise, hoping he wouldn't see. "No
thank you Uncle, I think I can do it myself!" Stifling a yawn she
scurried to the bathroom as fast as she could, "What time is it
anyway?"
[..] At the hatching
Conveniently separating herself from her Uncle Delilah hovered in the
shadows near the bleachers. Holding in a yawn she did her best to look
cheerful and nodded to the chattering passerby's. Excitement filled the
air and every so often a voice would call out a name of a recently
hatched dragonette and the crowd would let out a happy cheer. Twiddling
her thumbs she faintly rocked back and forth on her feet wi****ng it
would be over. Not that she didn't like dragons, they were okay if that
was a person's cup of tea but she herself would much prefer being in
the stable with the horses. She didn't belong here, not really, and
after noticing a few disapproving glances her direction decided it
would be best to sneak out as soon as possible.
<Could you help me please?> came the soft question. Delilah turned at
the sound of the voice expecting a child only to find an old lady
struggling to climb up the bleachers. Instantly she hurried to help and
both women gaped in surprise when they realized who the other was. The
ebony maned woman sighed inwardly. This was one of the old spinsters
that had made it quite plain that Delilah had gotten exactly what she'd
deserved. Swallowing the irritation that threatened to choke her she
smiled through clenched teeth, "Let me help you!"
The woman clucked her disapproval but didn't pull away and rather
rudely pushed hard on Delilah's shoulder as steadied herself to climb
up on the bleachers. "I suppose I should say thank you!" The aging
woman spat out glaring down at Delilah with a sneer.
"Don't bother." Delilah sighed softly to herself turning away, and of
course there were those other 'unchangeable' things that weren't so
nice.
<Oh please can you help me?> The voice asked again only louder.
Suddenly Delilah lurched forward as something hit her in the back of
her knees almost causing her to loose her balance. Turning she found
Dizzi pulling herself to her feet.
"I'm real sorry Miss Delilah. I wasn't watching were I was going! I
didn't mean to run into you!"
The dark-haired woman smiled bru****ng the sand from the little girl's
dress, "That's ok Dizzi, I hear this is a pretty exciting event. You
should've spoken up a little sooner though. You could get hurt in this
crowd!"
The cherub-faced child gave her a confused look then broke into a huge
smile then Dizzi launched into a string of happy babbling about dragon
eggs. Delilah chuckled as she finished cleaning off the dress then
scooted the little girl off to find a place to watch.
Glancing around the cavern she could see some of the searchlings
dropping to the sand. Stifling a yawn she decided it was time to go.
Turning to leave she made her way through the throng of bodies as she
headed towards the cave entrance.
<Oh please don't go! I really need some help! It would be so kind of
you..> the soft voice came again only this time tinged with a sense of
urgency.
Delilah squared her shoulders and sighed and didn't bother to look back
this time. Suddenly something hit her square in the back and she went
sprawling face first into the warm sand. Sputtering and choking at the
mouthful of grit Delilah felt herself lifted to her feet. Dargis gazed
down at her with a gentle smile, "Delilah, I don't you should be
leaving so soon."
"What the heck was that?" She questioned angrily in-between unladylike
spits trying not to swallow any of the coarse grains still in her
mouth.
An amused chuckle came from the gentle gardener as he pointed behind
her. "Dillon thinks it's a good idea for you to stay too."
A bit befuddled Delilah turned and gave a loud yelp stumbling backwards
at the set of huge nostrils only a few feet from her face. A low growl
came from the iridescent mother and Delilah's eyes grew huge as she
pressed backwards into Dargis who stood like an unmovable wall.
Breezy appeared out of the crowd a huge grin on her face. Giggling she,
swatted at the scaly nose, *Coo stop scaring her! It's obvious she
doesn't understand!*
[What a dumb human! Well you need to fix it!]]
Breezy grinned at the gardener. "Do you want to explain it to her, or
shall I?"
Dargis returned the grin, clasping Delilah's shoulders he gently pushed
her towards the Wingleader. "I think it would be best if you did, Coo
doesn't look to happy right now."
Breezy laughed, "Does she ever Dargis! Come Delilah," she said taking
the servers hand, "I do believe your life is about to change."
Confused at first the young woman glanced at the gardener for sup****t
but he just smiled that sweet smile of his and nodded towards the
sands.
<Please come back,> Pleaded the lilting voice.
"Who keeps saying that???" Delilah demanded spinning around to eye the
area behind her. Breezy arched a brow and for a moment the two women
stared at each other as comprehension began to dawn on the green-eyed
woman. "Ohhhh no!"
"Oh yes!" Breezy smirked firmly shoving the server towards the nests.
[Oh my word, I can't believe my little one would even pick such a dumb
human!]
The Senior Wingleader busted out laughing. *Like Mother, like daughter!
I do believe you said something like that about me once!*
[I still do Sister!] came the draconian chuckle receiving a snort from
the little Wingleader.
The next moment the cook was by her side wrapping an arm around Breezy
in a huge hug, Jeryn was positively glowing as he watched his niece
move towards the one egg off by itself.
Delilah began to feel a strange tugging within pulling her forward. It
was a strange experience to say the least. For a brief moment she had
the sensation of being outside of her body looking down at all that was
going on. It was so odd seeing herself dropping to her knees on the
sand next to the leathery egg. But the feelings inside could not be
denied and she found herself reaching out to caress the shell tenderly.
"I'm here.." She whispered, surprised at the warm feelings flowing
through her. Feelings of the kind that had long since been buried.
<I'm so glad you came back, but you really don't have to talk, I can
hear you just fine when you think.>
Delilah watched the rocking oval orb in fascination as a small hole
appeared in the shell. Still not willing to believe what was happening
she sat back on her heels and watched. Suddenly enveloped in a glad of
warm steam and she felt a poke on her shoulder and Breezy bent over to
whisper in her ear. "I really hate to interfere, but Coo is a little
perturbed with you Delilah. She says you should quit wasting time and
follow you heart."
Delilah glanced up at the large hovering snout then over at the little
redhead unsure of the emotions that were beginning to overwhelm her.
Tears pricked at the back of her eyes, how could this happen to her,
she didn't even like dragons that much.
<But I like you! And I would be ever so grateful if you would help me
out, I seem to be stuck.>
The woman blinked in surprise yet her hand moved over the small opening
and something pushed against her palm. The touch was like being struck
by lightening for Delilah and sealed the bond so assuredly that the
tears that threatened now flowed freely and the dark-haired woman
gently peeled away a few shards of the egg to peer into the hole.
A tip of a nose nuzzled her face, <I see you!> the dragonette sang out
happily at the sight of the woman's face. Pu****ng hard on the shell a
small dragon's head popped out and the new bondmates bumped noses. <You
are so beautiful, just like I knew you would be!> The little female
exclaimed struggling from the shell with her human's help.
She was tiny quite dainty in appearance in comparison to the others but
she was the most beautiful dragon Delilah had ever seen. Her ****ny
pearlescent scales were the color of fine champagne and she gazed
lovingly at the woman with eyes the color of golden topaz. **I love
you!** She said softly stretching her little wings.
"Delilah?" Jeryn asked in concerned wonder stepping forward.
She looked to her Uncle and smiled through the tears, "Her name is
Purity!"
Breezy's hand flew to her mouth to hold back the laughter that bubbled
up. Galen had joined them and she buried her face in his chest unable
to stop the giggles that erupted. Yes, dragons did know best and never
made a mistake. There was no doubt now that Delilah would be just fine.
The little hatchling was so small she crawled easily up in Delilah's
lap snuggling tightly against her. **I'm so glad I'm with you, but I'm
worried about our queen. Momma says she is so sad and I can feel it
too. We should do something to help her.**
Delilah followed the golden gaze as Purity turned to the magnificent
queen dragon. Even though she couldn't hear the exchange it was obvious
Malani did as her golden head turned their direction eyeing the pair
with an expression of sadness and joy. After a moment the great queen
nodded and bowed her head regally before turning back to her own
children.
Purity sighed happily, **I told her that we loved her too and that it
would all be okay!** The creamy colored snout nuzzled Delilah's chin.
**Now, can I have a horse too?**
Delilah sobbed, laughed and thought at the same time, *"I..I lo..love
you..to.o little one! And only if you promise not to eat it!"**
**Well, I am rather hungry,** she answered shyly. **But Momma says
horses don't taste near as good as cows.**
As if on cue Purity heard one of the other hatchlings growl out
gruffly, *OK! Where's da beef!*
When the little dragons words were translated a ripple of laughter
spread through the crowd. Amid laughter and tears and calls for Z'ak
and Jale more searchlings were joined as the morning wore on, and after
a fa****on there was only one egg left on the sands. The queen egg, and
all eyes remained riveted to the beautiful egg.
{Tag: Carina, you're on! and Chris if you want to use this to lead off

Subject: [DL-D] The Flip Side of Jealousy
Day 105 Evening after the battle
Furious at Sharees's foolishness at chasing after the coach alone Lexi
wasted no time in dismounting and stormed across the green. Even though
it had been a short battle it had been fierce with mounted Wyvern's
appearing to intercept her. Thankfully he and Samson had broken ranks
to follow her or she would have been badly outnumbered and the outcome
could have been a lot worse then it was.
Chamelle's head swung around at the big man's approach but the look on
the blacksmith's face made her hesitate. **Samson, tell Chamelle to
stay out of this!** Lexi warned with a thought.
Sharees's boot barely touched the ground when Lexi grabbed her by the
arm and spun her around to face him, "Have you lost your mind! I can't
believe 'you' of all people would pull such a stunt! Going off by
yourself like that! That's damn reckless!" He snorted angrily, lightly
poking her in the chest to drive his point home, "What are you trying
to do get yourself killed? A fine example to set for the new riders,
Miss Wing Second!" Then adding with a sneer. "You want to be a boss
then you damned well best act like it lady and follow your own orders!"
There was blue fire fla****ng in those beautiful eyes, yet there was
also a deep hurt and it made Lexi falter. The pounding of his heart
drummed in his ears. He was so angry with her for taking off like that
he was half crazy with fear of her being hurt. That damned stubborn
pride of hers that's what had gotten her in trouble before. He'd almost
lost her then and it had torn their world apart. Or at least it had
his. Throwing up his arms in frustration Lexi marched off afraid of
what he might do if he didn't.
He didn't get very far before he was grabbed and jerked around to face
Sharees's ire. "I don't know who you think you a..."
Her words were cut off as Lexi scooped her up in a cru****ng kiss. She
tried not to respond, he felt her resist, but his sensuous embrace was
too persuasive, and the demanding pressure of his lips destroyed her
defenses. Lacing her arms around his neck her body relaxed and she
clung to him as if he were life itself returning his kiss with the same
Her closeness was exhilarating and an imperceptible tremor coursed
through Lexi at the reality it wasn't really ***ual in nature. The
feeling of her softness as it molded against the roughness of his
jacket made him realize how perfectly she fit, but then she always had
and that too scared him. Every man had his weakness and this was his.
She made him feel vulnerable, weak, she'd ripped his very pride from
beneath him on a flimsy excuse. How could he trust her or was it
himself he couldn't trust? The warm of her lips the feel of her against
him had his legs trembling so much that he broke the embrace. But
Sharees didn't let him go, her hands slide downward across his chest to
encircle his waist and she gazed up at him with a fleeting mixture of
doubt, desperation, and hope.
All the feelings and emotions Lexi felt for this woman came flooding in
on him in an aching wave of longing so intense it overwhelmed every
other sensation. He was brutally tender as he brought both hands up to
cradle her face, bru****ng his lips across hers with a soft caress.
Memories whispered to him as he gently stoked the satiny cheek with the
backs of his fingers. Lifting his head to gaze down at her the fiery
sapphire eyes fla****ng at him only moments ago had softened to a deep
blue velvet and for a moment he was lost in them as his thumb smoothed
across her lower lip.
A shout went up as more riders returned breaking the magic of the
moment.. Lexi tensed and whispered gruffly. "Damn you woman..!" Unable
to say anything else he gently pulled free of Sharees's arms and
hurried away leaving the dark-haired woman in a state of bewilderment.
[..]
With wounded riders returning Pandora had set up the usual aide station
near the green, tending the least wounded on the spot and sending the
others into the center. As she called out orders to her aides she did
her best to hide the feelings that sickened her within at the sight of
each wound. She seen the same wounds many times over now and each one
pained her as much as the one before. She also covertly watched the
exchange between her twin and the woman he loved even though he was
unwilling to admit it, especially to himself. As she wrapped a minor
cut she saw Lexi stomp away and a smug smile came to the queenrider's
face. It was obvious her big brother was close to breaking, but this
time she was sure it would be a good thing.
[..] Day 106 Mid Evening
Lexi sat on the ledge of his apartment looking out across the warren.
It was a beautiful night, the air was crisp and clear and not a cloud
in sight. The full moon hung above the horizon and its pale light mixed
with the twinkling lights from the buildings below cast an ethereal
glow over the warren. Sadly a shadowy enemy marred the beauty and there
was a tenseness in the air that could be felt even from his lofty
height. With the appearance of the Wyverns the warren was a lot more
illuminated at night now and people seemed to group in numbers
especially at dusk. Usually togetherness was a good thing, but not when
it was brought on by fear. A rush of air made him look up and he
watched thoughtfully as his soul mate landed lightly on the ledge next
to him. Yellow eyes gazed down boring into him which usually meant
Samson wanted something.
**So Big Guy, what's up?**
[How come we don't have a puppy too?]
**I don't know, did we want one?**
[Panda got one, Ishtar and Starfire got one, the hunter human got one!
How come we didn't got one?]
**Hmmm...and once again my friend, did we want one for some reason! You
weren't planning on eating it were you!**
[Well no.] Samson answered thoughtfully [They are awful little and
really wouldn't be worth that effort, but it still it must be a good
thing. Almantha is all excited about it.]
Lexi arched a brow, **Almantha is excited about a puppy, and you're
telling me it's a good thing?**
[Welllll....Chamelle's rider got one too!]
**And your point is?** Lexi answered with narrowed eyes.
The scaly male sighed, [Ohhh I don't know!]
**Trust me Big Guy, puppies are a pain in the butt, they smell, poop,
pee, bite and eat everything in sight! You want something like that
around?**
Samson grunted sarcastically, [No wonder Almantha is excited.] The
dragon fell silent and the two gazed out across the landscape they
called home. Finally the red broke the silence, [You know Galendriel is
worried about her rider.]
**Really, why?** Lexi sat up immediately concerned.
[She says that her rider is sad because they can't go flying together.
Says her rider looks at the sky and sighs a lot.]
**Oh she does now, does she?**
[I was thinking that maybe we could....]
Lexi smiled, **Ahhh I get it! Trying to score points with the queen I
see!**
[Weeeell we were talking when I took her that big buck and....]
The blacksmith chuckled rising to his feet, **Okay Big Man, nothings
happening right so how about if we go see if the lady is up for a
moonlight ride?**
Samson needed no other invitation to impress the golden queen and was
off the ledge as soon as Lexi had a leg over the saddle.
**"Would you at least let me get strapped in before you do that!!!"**
The big man muttered using his massive strength to hold on and buckle
himself in as the crimson giant dropped towards the green. Before the
dragon set down Lexi had already sent a message to 'the guys' that he
wanted as an escort. Even though things were quiet and after the battle
both sides were licking their wounds, he wasn't about to take any
chances especially with the precious cargo he would be carrying. Max
and Seth and their dragons would be discreet. They would stay close yet
maintain their distance so Thea wouldn't feel closed in. Sometimes
Warrenladys just needed to take a breather.
[..] Thea's apartment
A roguish heartstopping grin filled the Lexi's face as he gazed down at
the Duchess. "I would be most honored milady if you would allow me to
escort you on a short flight? I'm sure your queen would agree that with
her being indisposed at the moment it would do you some good to get out
and get away from the rigors of your daily duties..."
{Tag: Eddie - you up for a jp maybe?}
[..]
It was late when Lexi returned with the Warrenlady but the moonlight
ride had done them both good. Even through there was an escort with
them the others had given them enough space so the Duchess didn't feel
so encroached on. Thea's face was flushed with exhilaration as Lexi
helped her dismount.
"Thank you!" She whispered in a sultry tone leaning up on her toes to
kiss the blacksmith's cheek then giving him an affectionate hug before
releasing him.
"Anytime Duchess! I am forever in your service!" Lexi answered with a
sweeping bow that brought a coy smile from the elegant woman.
"It's not often I get to take a moonlight flight with such a handsome
man, but for now I must return to my duties," With a small sigh Thea
continued, her voice softening, "Thank you again Lexi, I did enjoy
myself. Maybe we can do it again..."
The smithy nodded and thoughtfully watched the statuesque woman walk
away unable to tear his eyes from the lush feminine curves. At the
remembrance of what was beneath the clingy material of her riding
clothes a slow easy grin spread across the handsome face. Thea was
definitely a man's woman to be sure.
"You can be such a crude chump!"
Lexi's head turned slowly towards the woman that had suddenly appeared
beside him. Raising a brow he glanced down at Sharees out of the corner
of.his eye.
"Gee, are we a bit jealous?" he asked sardonically.
"Of you? Fat chance! Don't flatter yourself!" Sharees retorted waving
an oil rag at him before hurrying off towards the blue dragon.
"Hmmm...Out oiling your girl a little late aren't you?" A deep sigh
escaped the big man as the corner of his lips curled upward. This woman
was going to make him absolutely crazy but damned if he could live
without her. Trotting after the swaying, quite tantalizing backside he
couldn't help but prod her, "You are too jealous, admit it!"
"I am not!" Sharees quipped over her shoulder at him.
"You are too!" Lexi demanded gleefully mindfully stalking his prey.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Oh yes you are Sharees! You are so jealous you can't stand it!" Lexi
grinned broadly seeing her shoulders stiffen at his challenge.
Not realizing he was so close behind her when she spun around she
almost bumped into him, "I am not!" She half yelled backing away, only
to bump into her dragon who gave her rider no quarter. "So what if I
am! What do you care!" Her lips trembled as she started to turn away
tears pricking at the corner of her eyes.
Lexi's arm s****d around the slim waist and pulled the leathercrafter
close. "I do care!"
"You do not?" Sharees exclaimed hitting him in the chest with the rag.
"Oh, yes I do!"
"Do not!"
"Do too!" He had her now and he wasn't about to let her go. Using his
own bulk he pushed her further into the curve of Chamelle's body.
Samson had conveniently appeared and curled around them completing the
colorful circle giving Sharees no avenue of escape.
Artfully, his lips caressed her neck exploiting the weak spots he knew
so well slowly traveling upward to tease her ear before whispering.
"Sharees, I do care! I never stopped and I care far more then you'll
ever know!"
He couldn't stop the tremor that rippled through him as she leaned
against him her oil slick hands sliding easily across his powerful
chest. Suddenly she froze and the next instant she was pu****ng away.
"You're such a rat Lexi, you go off riding with Thea then ogle her like
some...some dirty old lecher. If you think you can come back here and
jump on my bandwagon you're wrong!"
Lexi took a step towards her, "You never seemed to mind when I looked
at you that way, and oh yeah baby I'd love to jump on your bandwagon!"
The sting of her slap sobered him and his eyes turned dangerously dark
as she raised her hand again, "No more Sharees." He warned his deep
voice tinged with anger. "You can only push a man so far."
Sharees flipped her braid almost hitting him in the face, "Hah! Like I
care! You can just.."
Grabbing her wrist he twisted it behind her back jerking her roughly
against him, "Enough! I told you I cared!" Seeing a pained expression
cross her face he instantly released her. "What more do you want?"
Two pairs of blue eyes locked both fla****ng with emotions. Tense
moments passed and the air grew electrified with angry desire. She took
a step towards him raising up on her toes. Sharees reached up to wind
her fingers in the soft black curls, "This!" She snapped pulling his
face to meet her lips in a cru****ng kiss. Surprised for only a moment
Lexi immediately enfolded her in his arms. Months of anger, sadness and
longing came through the embrace as their tongues entwined in a fiery
dance of pent up passion.
For several minutes they teased each other with their lips, each
murmuring incoherently as deep-seated feelings guided their moments.
Breathless Sharees stepped away to look up at him her eyelashes wet
with tears.
Lexi rubbed his lips together still tasting her sweet kisses. He
hesitated only a moment before reaching down to grab the hem of her
****rt and gently pull it over her head letting his fingers trail down
her bare arms until his own dropped to his sides the jerkin he held
falling to the ground. Gazing down at Sharees longingly he marveled at
how her pale skin glowed in the moonlight outlining her firm breasts to
perfection. Biting his lip in apprehension ...it had been so long.
Sharees returned his stare with the eyes of a temptress and Lexi's
throat went dry. Floating on a sea of deep sapphire his knees grew weak
under the intensity of her gaze. He tried hard to focus, to clear his
mind of the desire that was raging within, but she knew his weaknesses
all too well and he was fast losing the battle between mind and body.
The blue-eyed beauty cocked her head playfully, taking a lazy step
forward she slowly parted his vest and slid her arms around him, her
fingers trailing little circles across the hard planes of his stomach.
His sharp inhale brought a coy smile but Lexi stood frozen in place
unable to move. Her touch inflamed him like no other and white-hot
desire coursed through him. Then, almost shyly Sharees pressed against
him her lush breasts warm against his bare chest, "I've missed you so
much." She whispered in a sultry tone pressing her lips to his hard
chest...and Lexi knew he was lost, lost to the unrequited feelings that
had filled him f!
or months.
Their embrace was no longer gentle but ablaze with unbridled passion as
they came together, each fearing it was a dream that would end all too
soon. As the two dragons tightened their circle around their riders
hiding them from view, Samson leaned over to nuzzle his sapphire beauty
and the two behemoths sighed in contentment glad their plan had worked.
[..] Day 107 O dark thirty
Lexi woke with a start, disoriented at first but definitely not immune
to the silky fingers trailing up his thigh. Lifting his head he blinked
and realized in the dim light he was in his own apartment. It took him
a minute to remember how he got here but that could be due to the fact
that the warm body behind was quite distracting.
With a little grin he rolled over to playfully pin Sharees to the bed.
After a few tender kisses she pushed on his chest "Lexi, we need to
talk."
Oh-oh his brain exploded a warning. A faint groan rumbled in his chest
as the blacksmith rolled onto his back feeling his desire suddenly
wane. Letting out a sigh he pulled the sheet up to his waist and
propped himself up on the headboard crossing his arms. "I'm all ears."
He answered flatly. He guessed they needed to talk he supposed that
would be the right course of action, but he didn't think bed was the
place to do it, especially not now when there was definitely more
pleasurable things to attend to instead.
"I'm serious Lexi," she said softly. Sitting on the foot of the bed in
all her glory the blacksmith had a hard time concentrating on her
words. Kissed by the moonlight that filtered into the room she looked
like a radiant goddess, her **** body still flushed from the afterglow
of their previous lovemaking.
Sharees's mouth was moving but so mesmerized by the sight he didn't
hear her at first. ..."I love you so much Lexi and you said you cared
but.." blinking to bring him out of his reverie he answered gruffly.
"Sharees, I told you before that I cared, that I would die for you!
Jeezus woman, what more do you want from me?"
Leaning forward she began to creep up the bed towards him, her
movements reminding him of a sleek feline stalking its prey. The
sapphire eyes had a luminous glow and it was extremely *****c seeing
her like this and he let out a slow exhale as she straddled his one leg
moving upward along his body. Holding his gaze her lips parted
slightly, her fingers trailing the line of the sheet then sliding
upward to rest her palm on his chest. "Alexis Kaltos, I want your heart
and soul." She whispered hoarsely.
Lexi's jawed worked and he stared at her for several moments thinking
how incredibly ***y she was at this very moment. Finally his face broke
into a boyish grin. Instinctively licking his lips he cleared his
throat and nodded down to the rapidly rising lump in the sheet. "Is it
okay if the rest of me comes along on this ride too?"
