Subject: [Vampire WW] Funding Woes
Night 17
Decatur Street, French Quarter
"**** man, you can't close down."
There was a hint of desparation in the voice of the young red-haired
girl as she reached across the cast-iron table of the cafe patio and
grasped the hands of the older woman seated across from her. "Your
work, your facility, it's too valuable." she insisted.
A smile creased the pale, careworn face of the older woman, a thin lock
of grey hair slipping from the usually neat braid that hung down her
back to bisect one still bright blue eye. "Your hands are always cold
Sara, you really should have your circulation checked dear." she
chided the girl gently. "And frankly, we have no choice, our funding
has been cut again, we can barely sup****t those women staying with us
right now, barely afford the cl***** in self-esteem and work skills,
how can we move forward now?"
Red, known as Sara to her Kine associates, squeezed the older woman's
hands lightly before pulling away to wrap the small appendages around
the still steaming cup of caffe latte. Should have feed before meeting
up with her.
"How much money is needed immediately to help those with you right now
Linda?" Her brain was starting to teem with ideas to get immediate
cash to sup****t the woman's shelter, but so far, none of them struck
her as feasible. Plus, there had to be a way to deal with the
shortfall of money for future operations.
"Right now, about $5,000 to get us through the next six months." Linda
answered, sitting back in the cafe chair. Red mimicked her, only she
drew up one cargo pant clad leg, resting a booted foot on her knee.
Raising her hands to rub her face, careful not to smudge the black kohl
rimming her green eyes. The movement caused the image of Che Guevara
on her black tank top to stretch across generous breasts.
"I'll think of something, and maybe we can start a hardcore petition to
renew the funding." she finally said, a hopeful note in her voice as
her hands dropped away from her face.

Weavers 2005 Award Categories
** Special Writing Awards **
*****
** Post Awards **
(These Awards are voted on by ALL players within their unit during
the final voting.)
1) Most Dramatic Moving Post (This award is given to the writer of
the post that evoked the most emotion. A moving post would be one
that touched your heart in some way.)
2) Most Dramatic Action Post This award is given to the writer of
the post that exhibits the best action that goes beyond the normal.
(Examples: a dynamic chase scene, two officers jumped from behind
and a struggle ensues, an invasion from above dragons or a group of
mages, etc.) Regardless of the plot/action this type of post can
create excitement, tension and in some cases even humor.)
3) Best Overall Plot Post (This award is given to the writer of the
post which most influences the entire direction of a plot, without
ignoring what has gone before. (Example: vessel's captain kills self
to save the good of others, erratic behavior in dragon rider due to
various reasons, secret agent's shady boss is a double agent, etc.)
4) Best Humor (This category pretty much speaks for itself. If a
post tickles your funny bone then it's a candidate)
5) Best Love Scene (The type of post for this award can either be
romantic or *****c and can fall under any rating from G to X. It is
for well-written romance/passion of a higher quality that leaves the
unspoken to the reader's imagination.)

one unit. Submissions will be accepted from ALL players.
