USS Falcon: Due Process of the Law

by th05324@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Snow Leopard) Jun 15, 2005 at 02:26 AM

She had watched this not so young new Ensign proceed with the repairs,
move through her department, without interferrence because it served
her interests. It served her interests because repairs had to be made
and it told her how she could proceed with turnover.

Of course, none of his orders had proceeded without first being
cleared by her. It was all done in secret, using some of the
technology that her father, Captain Andretti of the Esprit, had told
her about in his dealings with SFIA Mission Brigadier Kay Theresa
Kelly Tiffaney Lee. Despite that the infamous KTKT Lee was a powerful
telepath, she had used contact lens menus when she was assigned to the
Javelin. Claudia was using her own version of such in that it was a
two way system. Her entire leader****p staff had transmitter and
receiver lenses. Whatever they saw when dealing with Vox, she say.
Whatever he ordered, she knew about. It was then just a simple matter
to decide to allow it without objection inwhich case she signalled
back to the staff member with an affirmative or to modify it bit in
which case she sent back a formulated response that they should say to
him.

But as Claudia watched and observed, the Roman in her bristled
somewhat that this not so young Ensign would have the gall to work in
her engineering, work on her ****p, without ever contacting her.
Assuming that since he was assigned as the new ChEng, he was the ChEng
and everything was instantly his. Caesar, she cursed to herself, he
was just as bad as that little Marine Aurora and to complicate matters
more, even a little bit green like her.

Claudia raised her eyes to the overhead of the operations room she was
currently occupying, shook her head, and did a mental calming routine
of patting down her skirt. It was time to lower the boom.

Vox idly glanced and then took a longer glance at the Ensign that
walked up to him. He supposed she was another engineer but between the
body, the fair skin, the flame auburn hair done with bangs, she looked
more like a southern European fa****on model.........or a southern
European party girl. He found a PADD with tasks on it and handed it to
her. "New, huh? We will do introductions later but for now, there are
a lot of repairs to do so start on these."

Claudia Drusilla August Andretti gracefully accepted the PADD without
surprise, looked it over in a bored glance, and with a flick of the
wrist, sent it smoothly flying into the far bulkhead. Discus was not
one of her events in the Olympics but it hit squarly with enough force
to not only turn it into shards but also leave a large dent to leave
one with the indication that it might have been.

She turned back to Vox with the same intense but bored look, crossing
her arms under her breasts, looking defiantly at her successor who was
now staring back at her with a "what the ?????".

"If you can find the time, Ensign..........you have had significant
time to orient yourself with the ****p. NOW, it is the moment for you
and I to proceed through turnover and for you to sign for all in
engineering. Until you have properally assumed the watch, you are not
the ChEng................make no mistake about it."

Claudia unfolded her arms and indicated travel with her left hand,
palm up. "I believe you know where the ChEng's office is by now. If
you will please proceed me."

NRPG: This may be the last post assuming there isn't one for turnover
that I do as Claudia on the Falcon (but I am still here as Aurora, of
course). It's been fun.

(They put the heated wire in the dish with Garry's blood and it
fizzles. There is a sigh around the room. "I know you gentlemen have
been through a lot, but, when you could find the time, I'd rather not
spend the rest of this winter TIED TO THIS F***ING COUCH!"--Garry,
(wtte), "The Thing")
