Holodeck
Program his mind worked furiously trying to find what he missed. Some
science officer he was turning out to be. First the mess with the Virus
gremlin that wrecked havoc and was the cause for them is losing the Lt
in
the first place. Then the fiasco on the station lost them the First
Officer.
But as the Holodeck doors slid opened Sajin's jaw felt like a ton of
bricks
hitting the floor. Though others were talking around him it took all
his
will power pull him self together and he had to advert his eyes or they
would follow the curves of Lt. in violation of his brain.
Stopping and freezing the program showed with out a doubt she was truly
part
of the program. But how, he asked of him self. If you wanted to add a
program into an existing program, trans****ting wouldn't work and we had
checked those records, but then the Program that did this had some life
to
it too.
Sajin linked his pad to the counselors note pad and net work, by
passing her
safe guards. Hacking was generally frowned on but it was second nature
to
Sajin and he often forgot others might get annoyed with him. Looking
at the
data comparing the two there were small changes but nothing really that
might...
Sajin froze, "Conner you got something," Van asked.
"Not sure Lt.." Sajin looked up a moment and found he was looking right
at
the Lt. He eyes blazed with hope. Swallowing hard he went on. "It's
just um
seeing here," Tearing his eyes from her back to the data pads. "In the
original program the data is pretty much straight forward. But here it
is
only a couple lines easy to overlook."
"What kind of coding is that?" She asked not hiding the surprise in her
voice.
"When I was researching Dr. Bells work I came across this before. So I
read
up on it in my spare time, and it's really rather fascinating and
explains
much when dealing with the human mind, and soul, though I think some
will
still argue the fact if."
"Ensign Conner, would you please get to the point!" Van snapped.
"Sorry, well to put it in as basic way as I can this here is your life
code." Sajin looked at the blank stairs.
"Counselor are you sure you.. I'm sorry of course you are, which makes
perfectly good since." Sajin said tapping his data pad.
Georgi looked at Sajin as though he had grown a third eye. The looks
from
the others was nearly as bad. He quickly sent a copy to their data pads
as
Van looked over the Conners shoulder. It was a very good program and he
could smell the Lt's tropical sun lotion like hands caressing his
brain.
He shook his head to gain focus.
"Go on Conner," Van urged.
"Well your body must still be around but since we were in a Holodeck
program
it was a Holodeck trans****ter that we have to activate to get your body
back. On top of that your life force or what ever you wish to call it
that
makes us different then a simple program has been attached to here.
I'll
have to copy and paste it to your body so to speak." Conner looked at
his
analyst double checking his numbers.
"Wonderful let's get it done then" The Lt. Said as though it was just
another day at the office.
"Um well there are some complications and possible ramifications. First
and
foremost this has never been done and I have no way of seeing what the
outcome would be it could in fact kill you. Your body and mind can have
some
factors in place do to your connection with this program. Already here
I
see some of the data has blended with your life signs. It could just
mean
you would come back with a tan." Sajin Shrugged. "So it's up to you
what you
would like to do. The longer you wait of course the more mixed with
this
program and those that have used it are with your life code."
