Day 130
~Alden~
All he could remember was that his brother had fallen
in the dark, hurting himself. When he went to find
him, to help him up he himself had fallen. Vaguely he
remembered Roxie and her dragon coming for him. His
head hurt at times, when the sun would ****ne in his
room. A few days a go he had found out that Akety had
left to go to another warren to fight something there.
How she could leave at a time like this he didn't
know. Things were bad here, those things coming up
from the ground and from the sky and every which way.
Alden didn't know if he wanted to be a dragon rider.
He didn't know if they were going to live long enough
to make it that far.
He and Alton had gotten into a fight and had not
spoken to each other for that last week. Alton and him
were talking.... Alton saying how sorry he was. Alden
didn't know what set him off but he suddenly yelling
at his brother telling him how stupid he was and how
he almost got everyone killed. After that Alton hadn't
shown up in a while. The nurses said he could go out
of the med-center just as long as he came back to get
ointment put on his face. It was already healing, and
scaring. His jaw and shoulder hurt at different
times... he really didn't like eating. Picking things
up were a chore, everything made his arm hurt. He got
really fussy when the nurses and Pandora had him
stretch his arm so it wouldn't stiff up on him.
Looking in the lake he could see his face, the scar
had missed his eye. He could still see. It didn't look
to bad, Pandora said that it may fade away after a
while. He hopped it would. He didn't want it to scar.
He didn't like it at all. It would always be a
reminder of his brothers impulses. Lets go see what
we, mere humans, can do again things that the even
some dragons fear. He slapped at the water. He hated
his brother right now... more then he had every hated
himself.
He was sitting on a bench when he heard a loud
commotion at the hatching caves. A loud roar filled
the air. He turned to look at the cave, suddenly there
were hands on his shoulders.

Ever since the argument, he hadn't seen his brother.
He didn't have time now anyway. Dante helped with
that. He had him out training, running the course and
working with a sword. Weya would help him with the
bow. He was getting very good with both. He liked
training with Weya better she wasn't so .... hard on
him. Ever since Akety left Dante made sure that he had
something to do. He didn't mind it to much it was good
for him not to worry over his brother. Seeing as he
didn't want to see him. So he worked on the lessons
that Dante gave him. Once Dante took him up on Jacks,
that was the best experience that he could have ever
had. He was starting to understand the bond between
dragon and human. He understood why everyone was so up
set. The loss of the dragon meant loss of the human.
Akety had explained that to him hundreds of
times...but... he had never really listen to her... he
wished he had now.
Today he was working in the training grounds when the
alarm went off. He didn't know where it was coming
from. He hurried to the ledge and looked over. Many
people were ru****ng to the hatching caves.

Thea had talked to him after the hole thing,
un-grounding him he offered to watch over Alton. She
question him on this.
"All I plan to do is work with him... keep him busy."
She agreed.
"Both of you need to work together!" Dante yelled at
them a few days ago, he had just ended them working
together while Alden healed. He didn't seem up to par
quite yet.
It had been to long...a little over three weeks, she
should be home by now... should had been home, should
have never left. He and Jacks sat watching the skies
late at night.... waiting. Some nights Weya would sit
up with him and try to ease him. He worried to much,
she was old enough to take care of her self. But, she
was the only family he had... other then Weya. He
always thanked her for sitting with him. And for
helping with the wolves. With the two pups things were
hectic again. Many times when he or she would try to
fold covers the pups would help. Making a ten minute
job in to a thirty. But it was nice having something
of his sisters so close.
He, over the past few weeks, had grown to like the
twins. He had visited Alden many times to make sure he
was ok. He worried about it too. Once he was able to
get out of the med-center he seemed to be distant like
he was lost. Dante figured it was a from of shock. He
would get over it... maybe when or if he joins. Then
the two would be dragon riders ready to join the team.
Have something to do in their spar time other then get
in to trouble.
He sighed, he and Jacks were sitting on the ledge of
the apartment. Watching and waiting for their time to
go o patrol. It was only in a few hours. Weya was
busy out in the warren. So he sat and relaxed. He saw
one of the twins sitting by the lake.
Suddenly Jacks and other dragons close by let out a
deep roar, so loud that Dante had to cover his ears.
Theirs was followed by others, Jacks told Dante what
was going one. He gone on that sec and they were down.
He hopped off on the green and ran up behind Alden and
grabbed his shoulders.
"Come on, something is happen on the sands." Dante
said as he helped him up on Jacks. "Stay at the
apartment." He said as he and Jacks leapt form the
edge.
As soon as he got close to the cave, others were there
as well, and so was Alton. "Dante what's going on?!"
"I think the beast followed us back under the
sands...."
"Where Alden?"
"Up at the apartment...where you should be too."
"No, I want to help.... I want to fix what we...I did
wrong."
Dante smiled. "You may make a good dragon rider yet."
He pulled Alton away as Samson game running through,
Alexi and Sharees close on him. "Guys what's going
on?" He yelled over the pounding of dragons ru****ng
over.
"Its the eggs!"
As they came in they saw a hole...and there was
Galendriel guarding her eggs looking down the new
hole.
