I agree. Seems as silly as blaming one person for something another did. 
Say, blaming me for things Mao did, because we both have black hair. But 
then pretty much the entire religion is *about* blaming all individuals 
within a group for the actions of some members of that group. All humans 
are considered 'guilty' of an alleged sin committed by Eve (who didn't 
even have a sense of right and wrong when she allegedly committed it). 
Amelekite babies are to be slaughtered for alleged crimes of their 
ancestors long before. Egyptian babies (and even some livestock) are 
slaughtered by god, for something a Pharaoh allegedly did (and the Bible 
is very clear that he only did those things because god hardened his 
heart). Jesus condemned entire cities to hell, for the actions of some 
citizens of the cities.
