Why is it you never see this sort of reaction when a poll comes out 
saying that most Americans don't can't find China on a map, or don't 
know who the President is?

As a moral proposition I'm as against genocide as the next guy, but 
I do hold out the caveat that if mankind is attacked by 99.5-percent 
pure-evil Orcs, or, say, skyscraper-sized dung beetles, I might 
change my views.
