I have a Biggles comic album that is comparatively recent. It's been 
shuffled into a box in preparation for moving, but the style and 
presentation is very much like Tintin -- I suspected it might be by a 
former Herge assistant, but it might also be a tribute. Probably 70s, at 
the oldest. And Monty Python made at least a couple of references that 
would have kept the flame alive even after the series ended. "Biggles 
dictates a letter" and "Cardinal Biggles" come to mind. (Next week: 
Biggles Flys Undone!)
