1972 was a long time ago. I remember it well <g>.  The "Harry Potter" 
books hadn't been written and we were expected to make do with things 
like "Biggles" for the boys and "Chalet School" for the girls.  (and 
girls weren't supposed to read SF books)(or books about men who flew 
airplanes)
