I guess I'm less suspicious than you.  (Of course my lack of
suspiciousness has got me in trouble before, so what do I know?)

I just tried http://keithlynch.net/../.
 I got "400 Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand."

I get several such hits every day.  Today, for instance, someone in
France asked for /dbadmin/main.php, and somone in China asked for
/w00tw00t.at.ISC.SANS.DFind:).  Neither exist, of course.  Suspicious?
I suppose so.  But harmless.  And I'm not sure what I could do about
it anyway.  Call the police several times a day?
