True. But then, his claim was
doubling from 1967 to 2005
and the numbers you get the 43% from are
the 1980 figure is 17,473, the 2006 figure is 25,036
Clearly, that second statement of his wasn't intended to be a more
accurate quantification of the first. So the fact that it fails to
illustrate a doubling isn't really all that noteworthy.
