- hmm? drdos 5 & upwards (and quite possibly below 5;
that's just the earliest i recall) are fine addressing
extended memory, so long as you configure them to use
emm386. i don't know about messdos & ibm's pcdos, but
i assume they can do similarly.
- dos will need large hard drives partitioned into a
number of smaller drives before it can make use of all
their space (and iirc there was an upper limit to how
large a hard drive they can cope with in this way).

- there are dos usb ****t-drivers, but i'm not aware
of them having been made available separately from
windows 95, alas - is anyone here au fait with how
