I was in a car accident on Friday. Someone proceeded through a stop sign
into an intersection I had a right of way through, then they stopped in
front of me. I decelerated, but couldn't avoid an impact.
Sore back, sore neck, intermittent numbness in my forearms and the
pinkie finger sides of my hands, some dizziness and some nausea and
acidic stomach. I feel like I've been punched repeatedly in the kidneys
when I wake up. The doctor said the nausea may be due to whiplash
effects on the vegus nerve, which can cause the stomach to produce extra
acid (apparantly what happens to the vegus, doesn't stay in the vegus).
My stomach feels better when I eat. As I won't be playing ice, roller
and floor hockey for at least a few weeks, and maybe longer, I really
have to watch the food intake. I had a walk with Lister dog today and
did some light stretching, which should burn off a few Calories.
