There is against trespass, theft, and vandalism. Got your receipt?
Keith, you of ALL people I would think would be wary of even the
possibility of the appearance of being in possession of stolen property.
Didn't you learn your lesson the first time?

From a construction standpoint, it's used. 10 foot is a standard minimum
length.

Your best bet would be to sell it to your plumber, or your apartment
maintenance folks... someone you know who will believe you when you tell
them where you got it.

We have people come in all the time to the hardware store, offering us
copper, galvanized, or black iron pipe they "don't need anymore". The
answer is always "no", no matter how good the price is. Copper is too
likely to be hot. Galvanized, we have no idea what might have been run
through it before we get it, and don't want our customers putting it in
potable water plumbing. Black iron is for gas... and you DON'T want
questionable gas pipe, EVER. To quote Susan Ivanova.... "No 'boom'
today... 'boom' tomorrow. There's always a 'boom' tomorrow."

There's REALLY good reasons for only buying our supplies from our
distributors.
