Never seem to spot them except in the run up to Easter.

It's the same with mince pies.  You can only seem to get them in Tesco
in the two months before Christmas.  Friends tell me you can get them
all the year round, but I've never seen them.  I stock up in December
and freeze them so I can have them the rest of the year.

Maybe I should make my own.  My mother used to make mince tarts rather
than pies, and then coat the mincemeat in white icing.  (The amount of
sugar I consumed as a kid, it's a wonder I was always underweight then,
and my teeth were good.  Now my sugar consumption has gone down and I'm
overweight and have a mouth full of crowns and fillings.)
