In the US, Easter weekend is no longer than any other weekend.  Nobody
(that I know of) gets that Friday or Monday off.

That's why Balticon switched from Easter weekend to Memorial Day
weekend after Disclave abandoned the latter -- so it could run one
more day.

I don't know what the holidays were like in ancient Judea.  Maybe they
stuffed an extra day in the *middle* of the weekend, given that it was
somehow three days from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.
