The 'red handed' person may be the person trying to hold in the wounded 
person's blood, with the actual murderer(s) claiming they saw the medic 
thrust the knife in. 'Due process' is far from perfect, but it's an 
important thing to strive for. People who violate due process (say 
judges who decide based on skin colour, sex, religion, or police or 
other witnesses who purjure themselves) are criminals.
