Remember that the Hebrew calendar starts a day at sundown. The Gospels
make it clear that Jesus died before sundown, as there was still time
to persuade the guards to lower him so he could be buried. Day One,
Good Friday.

Spends sundown Friday to sundown Saturday being dead; something I
think we can all grok. Day Two

Sometime after sundown on Saturday, decides that this "dead" thing is
for other people, and comes back. Mary Magdalene wanders by the next
morning (either alone or with a tour group, depending on where you are
getting your story from) and immediately demands a writ of Habeas
Corpus. Day Three, and everyone goes off to confuse matters by naming
the holiday after a Saxon goddess.
