It's only got a meaning if people take it to mean something; it's not
simply
a matter of ignorance if you have got no interest or opinion between the
underlying causes that each one symbolizes.

You can still wear green on St. Patrick's Day without making any
statement,
but just because it's an American pseudo-holiday where the tradition is to
play up pseudo-Irish traditions.

As an aside, if you really want a potentially divisive holiday few people
will get these days, wear blue on April 9th :) :)
