I take it nobody got the Basil Fawlty reference?  I'm not even a Fawlty
Towers fan - couldn't stand the programme.

But, to put things in perspective, my understanding is that the orange
in the Orange Order is a direct reference to William of Orange, the
Dutch prince who invaded England in 1688 and became William III of
England.  OK, so he had an invitation to invade by anti-Catholic
elements of Parliament, and his wife was the daughter of James II, the
current king, but it was still, technically, an invasion.
