Kind of like Hollywood, where companies - Cord Labs, for one - made
good money buying less-than-100-foot remnants of 35mm film from
studios (the basic rule is that you don't roll acamera with less than
100 feet of film in it), spooling it into standard cans, and selling
it by mail-order to serious amateur/semi-pro photographers.
