That would be a violation here if done on a public street. The
requirement is typically "in the direction of the nearest lane of traffic
and within one foot of the curb/edge." It's also a bit too long
(106.1 in.) not to intrude into traffic. OTOH, in a parking lot you could
get three of them side by side into a typical space and they'd only stick
out over the edge by about a foot (typical space is about 20x8 feet).
