They're all about the same. The only way to dramatically increase
accuracy would be to have their employees do a lot of manual review,
which would increase their costs and the cost to their customers.
They've essentially drafted consumers as manual review by using their
credit ratings as leverage.

Unless identity thieves have trashed your credit it should basically
be neutral and if they'd done so I'd expect you to be getting lots and
lots of letters and phone calls from collection agencies.

Interesting question... I don't know enough about their sources of data
to know if they'd have your SSN or not. The laws governing them seem to
be mainly about who can access your report, what data can be on it and
for how long, not about how/where they can collect that data.
