Dominant cost on a scooter here is registration, inspection and
insurance. Any motorized two-wheeler that's street-legal is treated as a
motorcycle. Cost will be about $500 per year before you add in operating
cost and maintenance, with the biggest chunk of that being insurance. A
car will cost about $50 more.
