null bombing?

by "Martha Adams" <mhada@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 31, 2008 at 02:28 PM

I've come across an interesting term: null
bombing; and I see a practical use for it.
Namely, the loads of crapware and scatware
getting dumped into rasff. (Which I think
is a sort of censorship out of Washington).

In my use of the term, 'null bombing' is
the dumping of large amounts of vapid,
useless, and downright scatological junk
into a newsgroup where people are working
on new ideas. The purpose is to break
the discussion, to break the group that
is doing the discussion.

If someone knows where all this rubbish
is coming from, I'd like to hear it. But
for now, my guess is, it's censorship out
of Washington. Remember what came from
the woodwork after Vietnam cooled?
