That's not what I meant. There's a difference between a phone being 
unavailable or off the network (of course reason number 1 for that is 
the battery running out) and a phone ringing long enough to raise the 
dead not being answered _while you know_ said phone should presently be 
in the pocket of the person you're calling.

You don't actually have to turn the whole thing off. Silent mode 
suffices.

Though I'm eagerly awaiting the time when progress enables only the 
recipient of the incoming call to hear the alert. There's really not 
much reason for anyone else to be subjected to it.
