I am told that I have a tendency to talk too loudly, especially if I'm
excited about something. Especially if I'm excited about something and
the person I'm talking to doesn't seem to be interested.
I don't seem to have good feedback from my voice to my ears, so I don't
realise I'm doing it, but people in my vicinity complain.
Some people have suggested that I must be deaf, but I can hear external
sounds clearly. Seeing music is one of my great loves, I think I'd
notice. I was at a concert recently, in a seat near the back of the
hall, and before it started someone came on stage to announce (using a
microphone) that the placing of the concert interval wasn't that given
in the programme. I heard her announcement clearly, but the person
behind me turned to his companion and said, "I didn't hear a word of
that."
