Zooming back down a bit, I've taken 3D pairs on plane trips, looking 
down at clouds, with the motion of the plane putting distance between
shots.

Some day I need to do what I thought about years ago, finding a video 
with the proper sort of horizontal pan down an appropriately deep vista, 
then taking left and right pictures of it on a TV screen -- so that the 
TV is 3D, and the image on the TV is also 3D.
