I'd certainly look for a functional intelligence.  Every time I
listen to the bush, I ask myself how he got there.  The underlying
picture is doubtless very ugly.  But there he is, Mission
Accomplished!  And the rest of us bearing the consequences.

I think we in this country no longer elect Presidents.  We elect
figureheads.  Behind closed doors, running the figurehead, we
find a set of unelected people who actually do what is nominally
the President's responsibility.  Thus an electoral system is
made into something else. ...What's Rove up to these days?  I
doubt I'd want my name on it.
