Oh so the long term point of my story is:
Blue Cross and Blue Shield made money by NOT treating me.
(and each time I saw a new doctor through the program, apparently he
was given the records and opinions of the old doctor....)

Medicaid ended up paying many many times more to treat me than Blue
Cross would have had to, because
my appendix, if caught earlier would have been 3 days in the hospital
rather than nearly 2 weeks in the hospital (and in home nursing care
for a  coupl MORE weeks.)  ....

If my FMS  & CFS were handled earlier, I *might* not have had to go on
disability at all... certainly if I had been able to keep working,
it's better for EVERYONE, and not just me.

In Canada or the UK, I might have had to come back to the doctor a few
times, but the doctors wouldn't be penalized by the insurance for
running "lets get to the bottom of this" tests.
