Yes.  In one of the pricier suburbs of Pagosa Springs, a couple was
fined by their homeowner's association for hanging a Christmas wreath
in the shape of a peace sign.

Did those suburbs have a strong homeowner's association?  Many
upscale suburbs around here do not allow signs, period.
