Occam's Aftershave: When presented with two equally plausible 
explanations for an event, take the one that's less silly. I'm more 
inclined to believe that the media is covering a sensationalistic 
story without bothering to check the facts -- it wouldn't be the 
first time it's happened; it wouldn't even be the first time this 
month -- than that the school district is that stupid.
