Re: The family in the cellar

by "Martha Adams" <mhada@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 9, 2008 at 07:01 PM

Well, I've been following it. Kind of hard not to,
in fact. I think nobody is going to write a fantasy
based upon *that* story.

Think about the hippies of the 70's. Drugs aren't a great
idea nor did lots of people into drugs go good places with
that. But from the hippies we have, 'The President's
Analyst,' 'Hair,' 'Jesus Christ Superstar.' I have one of
my favorite sayings, "I know you believe you understood
what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize, what
you heard was not what I meant." So there are some good
outcomes from some divergent people, and by the way, the
folks in Wa****ngton offered remarkably good stuff to
diverge from.

(*Why* is this not happening today? ??)

But this story, that's something else. And as more news
trickles out about it, it looks worse. About all it
*could* bring out of some fantasy writer, in my view, is
some sort of a horror work that by its nature, could not
have a large audience over long time.

I too think this going on for *24* years is very, very
strange. My guess is, someone *must have* noticed; but
then what did they do? ??
