Return of an old friend

Some time ago the comic strip that was long known as Little Orphan
Annie was renamed Annie.  Also some time ago, I forget which came
first, the story lines became so bizarre and convoluted that I stopped
even glancing at it regularly.  However, I noticed the other day that
Annie is now trying to help cartoonist Thurman Drang, the creator of
the science fiction strip Biff Brogan, Space Sheriff, who is suffering
from cartoonist's block.  (Ja,  I did notice the reference in the
cartoonist's name.)  They seem to be making progress.  In today's
strip Thurman exclaims, "I know!  Lets team Biff up with his old
lawman pard, Bat Durston, Space Marshal!"
