And, in fact (having had a couple of moles inside McDonalds in recent
years) i am aware that is is not unusual - routine at at least one
location - for the coffee to be served even hotter than the McDonalds
standard.  (At the same location, one of the employees routinely used
twice the amount of sugar specified when making sweet iced tea because
"peple like it sweet".)

I've never, to my knowledge[1] encountered restaurant coffee that
caused widespread second-degree burns.

Now pizza...


[1]I'd say never, period, but most of the restaurant coffee i've
encountered hasn't been spilt on people
