A friend of mine once was very fond of the Odwalla "C Monster" drinks,
which have (google...) 1000% RDA of Vit. C, and would drink them all
day long. For all I know they were her main source of hydration. She
did eventually get nosebleeds which were attributed to the high C dose,
and which went away when she stopped drinking so much of it.

As for the general applicability of this anecdote I make no claims.
