I just discovered this (don't know how I missed it before!). As
someone who paints mostly with oils, and is a bit scared regarding the
expense and use of other materials (you know how it goes - limited
time frame and budget), this article was really helpful. What's even
better is that it got me enthusiastic about doing some painting once
more! I usually spend so much time writing that I don't save anything
for the other arts. Besides, there's that little fear factor about
never knowing whether I'll actually be able to produce something the
next time I sidle up to a blank canvas. Enthusiasm can counter a lot
of fear.
