I saw only a couple of Enterprises and was aghast at the last episode
I watched.  The Enterprise crew were like the Taliban!  It was in a
very phony stage set in a cave, where Vulcan priests guarded the most
prized religious icons of their culture, ancient and irreplaceable.
They were being invaded by some group (Klingons?) and the priests were
begging the earthlings to spare the precious artifacts.  Of course the
earthlings bombed  the whole place to smithereens!  I could only say,
"Jean-Luc and crew... where ARE you?"   Next Generation and the moral
code therein can never be topped.
