Maybe from the point of view of the monster.  ;-)

Re-telling the story from another viewpoint is pretty much what
happened with the various seasons of JJ Abrams' Lost (so far). Season
was was the front section survivors, season 2 was the rear section
survivors and season 3 was the 'Others' who already lvied on the
island.
