That's far from the case. There are many factions of Trek fans and
they seem to be in great disagreement over the movie. There are the
fans who will boycot the movie if the font for NCC-1701 is different
on the nacelles. There are the fans who see this as a reboot and will
boycot it on general principles (no Trek being better than reboot
Trek, in their opinion) and then there are the fans who aren't opposed
to the movie, per se, but have gone totally apeshit because William
Shatner isn't in it as James T. Kirk (I'm looking at you, Anim!)

I am very worried about this movie. The plot sounds incredibly
convoluted. It evidently takes place in at least seven different time
periods (young Spock, Kirk's birth, 10-ish Kirk, Spock on Pike's
Enterprise,  Kirk at the Academy, Kirk in command of the Enterprise,
Spock in the TNG era) yet is still only targeted at two hours, meaning
its going to be a blitz of short sequences that will likely be very
hard to follow if not written very, very well.

In other words, Trek fan opinion is all over the map about this movie,
and it might be so hopelessly confusing to non-fans that the movie
will fail.

I hope I'm wrong.
