Yeah, I guess that's true: entertaining must be the primary concern. 
OTOH, 
for *some* (many?) people, a story loses it's entertainment value when the

construct of its fiction starts falling apart.

I do not know if Anybody's theory lays in that aspect, but I believe it 
might.  I know, for -myself-, when the fictional construct universe has
too 
many fractures...the story simply stops being "entertaining".  My mind 
simply fixates on the fractures and I completely "tune out" the balance of

the "entertainment".
