I was referring to the series' life as an in-production
network series.  TOS was cancelled in February of 
its third season, which on the schedule of that time 
was mid-season.  It was taken off the air in March, 
then brought back for summer reruns starting in 
June, beginning with the last unaired episode.

BTW, at that time, the standard for network series
was 30 episodes a season.  TOS ran 29 episodes
in its first season, 26 in its second and 24 in its
third (this is not counting "The Cage," which was
never network-broadcast).
