That is a very good point.  What separates a  *good* / *great* movie from 
the also-rans is that it understands the medium - the Large Screen - and 
uses it for all it's worth.  The movies that are considered the "finest" 
ever made - Lawrence of Arabia, Citizen Kane, Gone With The Wind, et al. -

knew that they had a *huge* canvas in front of the viewer to paint 
upon...and they used it to the max.  Almost all of the TNG films simply
miss 
this.
