Oh please.  "The Americans have a plan!"  "It's about bloody time!"

It would have been more tedious, but perhaps more interesting if
the cracking of the alien computer had required expertise from all
around the world, communicating via Morse code or whatever.  I
hear the Chinese are rather good at this sort of thing.
