The old Columbia serial was more faithful. In fact, IMHO one of very few 
movie adaptations of a comic that were.

Ignoring the non-sequitur, the Val Kilmer was one of the least faithful 
Saint adaptations.

Both, and one bore little resemblance to the other. There were also 
Street and Smith comics back in the 40s, which were sort of a crossbred, 
like the recent movie. And a recent short-lived comic series that was 
faithful to the pulps for a while and then went off in left field.

Yes. The Strange movie was quite good. The Captain America movies pretty 
much missed the point.
