Maybe... at the very least, a closely related notion. One is, there's
a hidden agent causing what you see. The other is, there's an agent
you see, and it has human motives, intentions, capabilities, etc.
Both "magical" ways of thinking about things, if taken seriously.
Though anthropomorphism is often adopted as a convenient shorthand,
ie, "the species evolved in order to do X", and the such, and in
such cases, is only metaphorical; not meant to say that a "species"
has motives and intentions.
