If you liked Jaws, you'll love Barracuda

by mike monahan <tarzan82@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 22, 2008 at 07:28 AM

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this blog business, so be kind. Like many of you I am a
new author, and I am experiencing all of the growing pains that comes
with this distinction. I had to self publish through BookSurge and my
press release was sent out last week. Now comes the BIG question.
How do I get my book into bookstores? I see my book, Barracuda,
listed in B&N as a new release, but they have none in stock. How do I
get them to carry the book on a trial basis? I've researched the web
and many writers suggest the usual, join as many blogs as possible,
arrange book signings, hand out bookmarks etc. This is all small
potatos to me. I want my book in bookstores. Is this an unrealistic
dream? The book is available from Amazon.com, only because they own
BookSurge. I developed a website www.mikemonahanbooks.com I have
personal bio's listed on several sites, but book sales have stalled
and I need advice on how to kick start book sales in stores. I look
forward to any replies.

Thanks,
Mike Monahan
