I'd assume some kind of weird illness.  I'd wonder about whether I was 
one of the first to sleep, and if other people would start waking soon, 
or if I'm some kind of freak who'se escaped a "long sleep" which would be

Get food.  Get clothing.  Get transport.  Get equipment.  Get shelter.  
While I'm doing this I'd be thinking of ways of gathering awake to one 
place.

I'd kind of hope it was like some illnesses - you've had it once, you 
don't get it again.  I'd notice the "no one dropped in their tracks", but 
I'd be careful if I was driving.
