2nd thoughts would be, things are going to get very bad, very soon, if
nobody else wakes up. Also, I can't look after very many people on my

Try to locate girlfriend/wife/family/etc. Get then to a place where I
can look after them for a while, in case they wake up.
Setup some system to locate any other people who are awake. Lights at
night, drive around in a police car or ambulance with the siren going
(or even a Mr Whippy van playing greensleeves) spring to mind.
Check news sources, if available, starting local and working outward.
If no responses, gather survival gear, and head out of town (with
sleeping SO's??) to get away from the bad place town will become when
all those sleeping people start starving to death.

If I don't know how it happened the first time, I can only take general
precautions. Leave town, stay away from other people, only eat
canned/bottles food, etc.
Some of these contradict the actions from step 2). If I ant to stay away
from people to avoid another possible infection, I probably don't want
to start looking for other wakers.
